Gospel Postcard Evangelism

Do you know that you have within your means all the resources to reach every home in your area with the "good news" Gospel of Jesus Christ. This website will walk you through the steps on why and how you can do it!

First, what is Biblical Evangelism?

Evangelism is the announcement, proclamation, and preaching of the gospel ie "good news" of the resurrection and eternal kingdom of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

"Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, and in which you stand firm. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures," 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Therefore, the gospel is a specific God inspired message that is communicated "person to person".

1. The "Good News" can be communicated by mouth.

"Jesus went into Galilee and proclaimed the gospel of God. “The time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!” Mark 1:14-15

"Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit." John 3:5

2. The "Good News" can be communicated in writing.

"Therefore, having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught." Luke 1:3-4

"From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness," 2 Timothy 3:15-17

Completed and delivered in a prayerful manner with a heart level spiritual intent to:

1. "Seed" ie plant the Word of God into the hearts and minds of all who will read and hear the gospel message:

"Consider, then, the parable of the sower ... the seed sown on good soil is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and produces a crop— a hundredfold, sixtyfold, or thirtyfold.” " Matthew 13:18-23

2. "Water" ie refresh the Word of God that is already in their hearts and minds:

"What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, as the Lord has assigned to each his role. I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. He who plants and he who waters are one in purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor." 1 Corinthians 3:5-8

3. "Harvest" ie gather unto repentance and salvation those who are "ripe for harvest":

"Do you not say, ‘There are still four months until the harvest’? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are riped for harvest. Already the reaper draws his wages and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. For in this case the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’ is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for; others have done the hard work, and now you have taken up their labor.” John 4:34-38

You can see from the above scriptures that "Postcard Evangelism" is "Biblical Evangelism".

What is our heart motive to do gospel postcard evangelism?

The only biblical motive for evangelization is faith expressed in LOVE. Founded first on the revelation of God the Father's love for all mankind. Then our love for His Son Jesus Christ, expressed in our obedience to His direct explicit command to go preach the good news to the whole world. Then our love expressed in compassion for everyone who has not heard His "good news" message. Delivered to them with faith and hope that they too might believe and become born-again children of God.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son." John 3:16-18

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. John 14:15

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19

A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14

The goal of our instruction is the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith. 1 Timothy 1:5

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body,a but have not love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:7-8

For in Christ Jesus ... All that matters is faith, expressed through love. Galations 5:6
